The best way to generate content
If you’re a blogger, writer, songwriter, artist, etc., it’s pretty universally agreed that one of the hardest parts of creating is coming up with new ideas. Generating fresh content. Having new stuff to say.
And I know there are a lot of experts with advice. There are a lot of books and websites with prompts and ideas to get your wheels turning.
But those same experts will tell you that you need to write/draw/paint/sing/create from personal experience. That your story is the one you should be telling.
That means you have to have a story.
That means you have to shut your laptop, turn off your phone, walk outside, and live. You have to actually do something.
If you do new, interesting, and exciting things, you’ll have new, interesting, exciting stories to tell.
If you spend all day surfing the internet in search of new ideas, the only story you’ll have is one of a guy who surfed the internet all day, and that’s a pretty lame story.
